If you want to write.
Read.
Listen to the rules.
If they ask for 500 words they dont secretly want a brilliant 10,000 word philosophy.
Care. If you dont care about your subject dont write it .
We can tell and you are better off wanking off elsewhere.
A little passion goes a long way.
Retrieval of information doesn't.
No one else has your voice use it.
You may not be able to sing but you can love singing.
Loving is much harder than hating in writing.
Be fucking nice to people you don't think are at the top of the tree.
It may open doors for you.
Never look down on the multi-tasking brilliance of others.
Never think writing is about writing.
It's about living.
Live as much as you can.
Don't look down on or patronise 'your reader'.
Know who your reader is.
Who are your readers then?
Who are you?
Purity is wonderful and the only elitism you need.
Networking is a pile of crap.
You are as good as what you write not who you know.
Writing is always ego versus insecurity and a desire to change something somehow.
So of course I believe we can change the world bit by bit.
